Mastering
Mastering is optimizing your music for distribution. It's basically putting the final polish on your track, 'glue'ing' everything together and fixing tiny errors in the audio mix (for as much as it allows). If you're releasing a bundle of tracks it's a way to unify the sound of each track, making sure there's consistency in sound over the bunch.
When it comes to mastering I aim to find the right balance between loudness and dynamics. If your track is not loud enough it will sound 'weaker' compared to other tracks. If your track is too squashed through limiters and compressors it will make your track sound flat and lifeless. The key is to find the right balance so your track sounds both lively and big.
Over the years I've developed a good feel for how a track needs to sound on both dance floors as well as streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer etc.) As an artist myself I know how important those final touches are to a track, it allows you to really 'feel' the music.

Mixing
Mixing is the process of taking your individual recorded tracks and blending them together. For this you can apply several techniques like EQ'ing, panning, balancing volume levels and (parallel) compression.
When it comes to mixing I appeal to my artistic intuition. It's trusting your choices to focus on certain sounds while other sounds should have a more supporting role. It's listening to the frequency spectrum of sounds and judging how to correctly adjust them to fit and enhance other sounds. It's knowing how to boost or cut certain frequencies so other sounds can pop through.

Production
Throughout the years I've produced music in a wide span of genres ranging from house, tech-house, techno, EDM, nu-disco and indie dance as well as movie trailers/scores and commercials.
